In 2023 Saba Lykke Oehlenschlæger decided to enter Melodi Grand Prix, Denmark's national music competition. She was selected as the country’s representative for the Eurovision Song Contest, a journey which shaped her. As a triple minority, Saba aimed to challenge representation in the traditional Eurovision format. “I wanted someone on that stage who represented something different.” After navigating rehearsals, therapy, and her private life, Saba made it to the semifinals.
